This was my favorite museum in Ponce. Great variety of interesting themes and exhibits. There are also lots of cultural references, including the moving-picture show West Side Story, which was really my offset introduction to Puerto Ricans. In that location are even photos of George H.Due west. Bush and Spiro Agnew--and the local Burger King!

All exhibits are in Spanish, but there is a helpful printed guide in English that gives a cursory explanation of each room. I went through everything twice, trying to blot every bit much of the Spanish text as I could.

The museum staff and docents were friendly and quick to assistance when I had questions. I was likewise able to place a Roseville pottery vase in the lawyer'due south office for them (Snowberry pattern, I believe).

Wish I could have spent even more time in this museum. Maybe next visit!

My wife and I both seniors visited here on a recent Caribbean cruise. Originally nosotros were going to only stay on the ship only decided to accept cab into town $ten. and nosotros are glad we did. very few prowl ships end here and the boondocks came out in force to entertain and welcome united states. this lilliputian museum provides a practiced overview of Puerto Rican history. a little knowledge of Spanish helps -very little English. interesting displays including one on the Ponce massacre in which 28 people were killed and 200 injured by american authorities cheque it out in Wikipedia before you go. gives a little insight into why there was a independence move and why resentment continues today.

A well documented chronology of Puerto Rico and the urban center of Ponce though the Castilian colony and The states. Unfortunately mostly in Spanish at this fourth dimension. Cultural, political and current status.

On a class roadtrip to Ponce, we made our offset finish of the mean solar day here. We were greeted by the tourist guide who was and then helpful. We received a completed interesting tour of the house/museum. Very complete history of how PR and Ponce became to be. Nosotros were all very impressed and loved the tour. If y'all want to learn the real history of the Municipality of Ponce, you lot have to come up to this museum.

I actually enjoyed the Art Deco style of the building interior. The displays are interesting likewise: don't miss the one out back nigh Morse in Puerto Rico. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We have visited this museum on several occasions and it is e'er a smashing feel. Information technology is very organized and gives you a full general history of the development of the city of Ponce. It even includes a section on geographic changes since prehistorical times. Information technology does not accept a guided tour, merely nosotros adopt to cocky-explore the museum.

History to the max. Beautiful original business firm //architecture fascinating and the museum is well thought out. Divided in themes. Splendid personelll. Only ask and they volition explicate and give you an inside tour. Great , was really impressed with the history and beauty!!!!!
